Seminar „Active City: Bewegung und Stadt“ Summer Term 2024
What makes a city particularly conducive to physical activity? Which factors and environments can contribute to people being more active in cities? And what specific measures are being implemented as part of the Active City Strategy in Hamburg? These are just some of the questions that students will address in the university-wide elective seminar "Active City: Movement and Urbanity" [original in german: „Active City: Bewegung und Stadt“] at the Institute of Movement Science during the summer semester.
In addition to theoretical work and discussions with representatives from various institutions active in urban movement promotion, students will also engage in practical activities. As part of the "Active City Day," developed projects will be implemented in practice.
